About the job Financial Accountant
Accountabilities and responsibilities:
Financial Accounting and Taxation:
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing activities and processes for relevant areas (inclusive of prepayments and accruals).
Accurate recording and maintenance of Asset and Lease Registers.
Monthly Sales reconciliation and billing.
Assist payroll team for fortnightly employee payroll reconciliation.
Assist in preparing the monthly and quarter tax compliance documents, i.e. BAS and State royalty calculation, working with taxation advisers (big four firm).
Review and assist in preparation of audit work papers for half year and year end audits and liaising with the auditors for detailed queries (big four firm).
Other corporate accounting duties or supervision of duties as assigned.
Management Accounting:
Weekly and monthly Cash flow analysis and forecast.
Analysis of monthly P&L activity, variances to forecast, and contribute to the monthly management reporting.
Participate in the annual budget process for the Company and interim forecasting.
Requirements
Skills, knowledge and experience requirement:

Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment, in office or remotely.
Self-starter with solid organisational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities anddifferent stakeholders.
Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written;
Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word. Advanced knowledge in Excel, incl understanding concepts ofdatabases, use of mathematical, logical, statistical and financial functions desirable.
Knowledge of Pronto ERP or other main ERP systems desirable.
Tax experience in general corporate tax laws desirable.
Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Financial Accountant in a commercial finance environment or similar business service environment.
Qualification requirement:
Bachelor's degree with Accounting, Fiance or Business majors required.
CA/CPA certification or equivalent.
